In drought stricken village people hope for rain to come soon but there is no sign the village wells are also getting empty and the only well which as water is of the village head Daulatrao Patil but he is rude towards everyone and does not allow anyone to use his well.Radha a beautiful village girl along with villagers decide to perform ritual dance a prayer for rain her prayers are answered and village receives rainfall.During her performance Patil's son Kushalrao who studies in Nagpur catches the eye of Radha's beauty and both fall in love Kushalrao returns back to Nagpur to complete his studies and Radha finds she is pregnant with him.When Champak father of Radha discloses to Patil about Radha;s pregnancy Patil's wife calls Kushal to village on emergency basis to confirm if the child belongs to him.Kushal confirms and agrees to marry Radha but Patil threatens to commit suicide opposing the marriage as Radha is from other caste.Kushal disagrees to marry Radha but later repents but cant save her from taking her life in front of him,Kushal goes in depression after her death he comes across Sunita during a college trip and both start dating each other.But Sunita's father Sridhar Javalkar has a secret to share with Champak.
